Acorn Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery are proud to have designed and built this premium bespoke fitted media wall unit for a residence in Epsom, Surrey.

The owners, Mr and Mrs Caroto, wanted to update their living room and approached us with some initial sketches and thoughts. We explored different layouts with them and produced concept drawings, which helped them to decide on this final stunning design.

Bespoke TV and fireplace combination

Our clients wanted the TV screen and fireplace to have equal focus. So, installing the TV screen directly above the fireplace allows both to be viewed and enjoyed together. This kind of combination requires careful planning and precision craftmanship to achieve the elegant and balanced look you can see here, and the TV needs to be fully heat protected.

Integrating technology

The media unit has been tailored to house the couple’s extensive audio-visual equipment, which included a subwoofer, sound bar and speakers. Everything, including cables, controls and even existing pipework, is all neatly and elegantly concealed yet easy to access within the custom-made cabinetry.

Luxurious laminated surfaces

At Acorn Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery we can offer you some of the finest materials and finishes for your bespoke media or cinema furniture. Mr and Mrs Caroto wanted a high-end contemporary look and opted for Xylocleaf, which combines outstanding Italian design with class-leading technical standards. The decorative panels are perfect for distinctive cabinetry and luxury interiors. After a great deal of consideration, LR19 Sable was chosen for the main finish, with the central section made from Beton Ares FB02.

Bespoke media unit with an artistic design

This bespoke media unit runs across the entire six-metre wall, with made to measure display shelving on either side. The sleek, minimalist push to open doors achieve a seamless flow between the top and bottom sections. This perfectly proportioned layout has a wonderfully pleasing sense of order and harmony, with only the beautiful on display and clutter elegantly hidden away. Just how you want a relaxing lounge to look and feel.

Bespoke lighting for fitted furniture

The display shelving has been illuminated to add dimension, atmosphere and interest. We backlit the unit using the advance Hafele loox lighting system. You can see more of our lighting designs here.

Acorn Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery undertook the whole project from concept to completion, including all the associated electrical work, and even fitting the TV bracket so the TV sits perfectly within the framework.
